South Koreans Start to Like Cheese（韓国人、チーズ好きに）
South Koreans traditionally eat most meals with a generous dollop of the fiery local side dish kimchi, but they are also growing taste for another fermented food – cheese.
South Korea is one of the fastest growing markets. Cheese demand has been increased, thanks to exposure to Western dishes such as pizza, but South Koreans also incorporate cheese into local dishes like noodle soup and kimchi stir-fried rice.
（韓国人は昔から、ヒリヒリと辛いキムチを副菜として大量に食しているが、違うタイプの発酵食品を好むようになっている。チーズである。
韓国でのチーズ市場は急激に拡大している。ピザなどの欧米料理を知ったこともあり、チーズ需要が拡大しているが、韓国人はチーズを麺類やキムチチャーハンなど地元の料理に取り入れている。）

私：I just stayed home and relaxed.（特に何も。くつろいでました。）

先生：Do you like cheese?（チーズ好き？）
私：Yes. I like pizza, cheese, etc. I also enjoy them by cutting them without cooking or heating it. （好きです。ピザとかチーズケーキとか。加熱とか調理とかせず、カットして食べることもあります。）
↑「そのまま食べるのも好き」が出てこんかった～。調理せずって言う以外にどう言えばいいんだろ。。

Q（先生から）: 今回の話をどう思った？
A（私の回答）：The article says that Japan is by far the biggest consumer of cheese in Asia. I think this is right. I hardly see people who don’t like cheese. In Japan, I believe that the cheese consumption was not so big before.Since about 20 years ago, a wide selection of cheese came to be imported. Some kind of cheese, like camembert became popular among Japanese. The quality of delivered pizza also improved. Then, the cheese consumption increased. I think Korean found any cheese accepted by them, like the Japanese case. For some Korean food today, I have an image that cheese is used as a main ingredient. I know cheese takkarubi, Korean cheese pancake.The spicy taste of Korean dishes goes well with cheese.（アジアでは日本がチーズを最も消費しているとあったけど、うなずける。チーズを嫌いと言う人にあまりあったことがない。日本でも昔そんなにチーズ食べなかった。20年ほど前から輸入されるチーズの種類が増えて、カマンベールとかおいしいが輸入されるようになった。宅配ピザのレベルも上がった。それで、チーズ消費量が増えた。韓国人でも同じように、おいしいチーズの食べ方が浸透したのかなと思う。チーズタッカルビとか、最近の韓国料理ではチーズが使われているイメージ。）

Q（先生から）: It is an influence of Korean drama. Samgyeopsal is very popular in Philippines. How SouthKorean food influence the food in Japan?（韓国ドラマの影響でサムギョプサルとか韓国料理はフィリピンで流行ってる。韓国食が日本の食に影響与えてたりする？）
A（私の回答）：Of course, we eat kimchi and other Korean food. Cheese Takkarubi is very popular. It is a dish cooked with a plate. At the side, sweet and spicy taste chicken is aligned and at the center a dollop of melting type cheese is placed. We eat the chicken by dipping it in the melting cheese. Korean sweets are also popular. Many Japanese like Korean artists like BTS, so their influence is huge in Japan, too. （はい。キムチは勿論食べるし、他の韓国料理も食べます。チーズタッカルビとかすごく流行ってます。プレート使って、プレートの端に甘辛なチキンを並べて焼いて、真ん中に大量の溶けるチーズを置いて、溶けたチーズにチキンをディップして食べます。韓国スイーツも流行ってる。BTSとか韓国アーティストも人気だし、その影響は日本でもあると思う。）
↑チーズを置くの「置く」って何( 一一)？placeにしたけど、自信ない。流行るもpopular
しか出てこない。。韓国スイーツは、’チーズハットク’だな。出てこんかった～😓

Q（先生から）: 一番好きな韓国料理は何？
A（私の回答）：Bibimpap. It is like stirred rice in a heated stone bowl（ビビンバ。温めた石製のボウルの中に入った炒飯みたいなもの。）
↑石焼ビビンバをネットで調べたら、Bibimbap is rice topped with namul(seasoned vegetables) and meat, and gochujang or other sauce. The toppings are usually stirred together with the rice before eating.（ナムル、肉とコチュジャンなどのソースをのせた米料理。食べる前に全部かき混ぜます。）・・って。なるほど。ちょっと焦げたところがおいしい(slightly burnt parts are excellent!)
しどろもどろさと、言葉がぱっと出てこないのはあいかわらず。
言葉のバリエーションも課題だったな。また、がんばろ。
感情出してね、って先生に言われた。英語喋るのに必死で余裕ないわ～。まぁがんばろ。

Wild Animals in Town（街中に野生動物現れる）
A herd of over 100 goats have taken advantage of the coronavirus lockdown, and they invaded a deserted town center in Wales.
Local residents say that the opportunistic goats were drawn by empty streets. The animals have spent the past three days feasting on garden hedges and flowers. They were spotted enjoying the sunshine. With the streets unnaturally quiet, the goats have been left to wander undisturbed.
（100匹以上のヤギの群れがコロナウイルスによるロックダウンの恩恵を受けている。ウェールズの人気のない中心街に侵入していたのだ。
これ幸いとヤギは人気ない道に導かれやってきたのだ、と地元住民は語っている。庭の生垣や花を食べながら、ヤギは3日間過ごした。日光浴を楽しんでいるところも目撃されている。通りに不自然な静けさが漂うなか、妨害されることなくヤギの群れはうろつき続けている。）
* opportunistic: 先生の説明によると、take the advantage of the situationというニュアンスらしい。「日和見の」と辞書にあったけど、「これ幸い」と訳入れてみました。

・small talk（台風の話。7月からがフィリピンでも台風シーズンだが、もう台風来てるらしい）
先生：Nowadays typhoons are very destructive.（最近台風ひどいよね）
私：Yeah. They are recently very strong in Japan, and sometimes tumble bikes, cars, and other heavy items.（ひどいです！バイクとか車とか他の重量あるものもひっくり返してしまうことありますよ！）
↑tumble（をひっくり返す）で良かったのかな。ただthrowで良かったかも。
・casual questions
先生：Have you seen any animals strolling around at streets?（街中でなにか動物見たことある？）
私：Yes. Wild cats, dogs and rats.（のら猫、のら犬、ネズミとか）
↑野良猫はstray catsでも良かったな。出てこなかった。
先生：At what place do you see those animals?（どんな場所で動物見た？）
私：I see dogs or cats at lonely, quite and dark places, because police or local government staff try to catch them. Many people request them to catch the animals. And they are sent to a place to kill them. So, the wild cats and dogs are very nervous to see people, I think.
（人気のない静かな暗い所にいるかな。見つかると市の職員さんとかに捕まえられてしまうから。動物捕まえてって頼む人も多い。だから、猫も犬も人に出くわすのにナーバスな気がする。）

Q（先生から）: 今回の話をどう思った？
A（私の回答）：It is a kind of peaceful but scary story. It is like the world of the British anime Shaun the Sheep. It is like naughty goats playing cheerfully. This story is extraordinary, and from the image of goats, somehow I got a warm feeling For the goats, the current situation would be like a paradise. They can spend time at a comfortable place.（ほんわかとしてるけど怖いストーリーだなと感じた。ひつじのショーンみたい。やんちゃなヤギが楽しんでいるみたい。なんだか非日常感とかヤギのイメージは和む。 ヤギにとって、この現状はパラダイスみたいだろう。快適な場所で過ごすことができて。）
But realistically, seeing a herd of 100 goats will be scary.
It would be a tragedy that the garden hedges and flowers were eaten.
（でも、現実として100匹のヤギの群れって怖い…。自分の家の柵とか花壇が食べられるのは悲劇だな。）
♪今日の質問②♪
Q（先生から）: 動物保護のための法律は日本にある？
A（私の回答）：I think for endangered species, I think there are some laws for protecting them. For ordinary animals like cats, there are no regulations for protecting them. Rather, instead of being protected, they are killed according to the regulations. It is sad, but it leads to a kind of safety outdoors. I have been chased and bitten, when I was a kid. It is a scary memory.（絶滅危惧種に関してはあると思う。のら犬や猫はないかも。。保護するどころか殺処分されるルールがある。悲しいけど、それである程度屋外の安全につながる。小さい頃追いかけられて噛まれたことあるし。怖かったなぁ。）
先生：Did you get vaccine? （ワクチン受けてたの？）
私：No. It is strange but we are not requested by the government to take vaccine for this kind of case.（この手の事に関してワクチン受けるよう政府から指示されないんです。不思議なんだけど。）
先生：rabies?（狂犬病？）
私：Yes.（そうです、それ。）
♪今日の質問③♪
Q（先生から）: 動物擁護の活動している人とか（advocates）いる？
A（私の回答）：There are cat café. People who can’t have a cat at home but like cats go there and enjoy time with the cats there. If conditions become okay, some people take a cat from the café. Other people go to the facility for killing caught animals and take a cat from the facility. （猫カフェがあります。家で猫飼えない人で猫好きの人が猫に触れられます。条件揃えば引き取る人もいます。殺処分場に引き取りに行く人もいます。）
↑「引き取る」をtakeにしたけど、どうなんだろう。辞書しらべて、たぶんadoptが良さそう。
しどろもどろさと、言葉がぱっと出てこないのはあいかわらず。
言葉のバリエーションは色々出ていたと思うけど、流暢ではない…。また、がんばろ。

British conservationist group reacted angrily, saying that it is wildlife harassment.
（ジンベイザメの上に立ってスピードボートで引っ張られる男2人の写真。イギリスの自然保護活動家は動物へのハラスメントであるとして怒っている）

Q（先生から）: 今回の話をどう思った？
A（私の回答）: It was a story about wildlife harassement. It should not be allowed just as leisure or play. It seems that men on this footage enjoyed a kind of thrilling feeling by standing on a whale shark and being towed by a speed boat. Each people has different sense of morality. I do not understand why they do not respect wild animals. They should be punished because they think less of wild animals by taking advantage of their being docile and gentle.（野生動物へのハラスメントの話でしたね。ただの遊びとして許しちゃだめだと思う。ジンベイザメの上に立って曳航されて、彼らはそのスリルを感じて楽しんでいるのだろう。モラル意識は人によって違う。彼らがなぜ動物に敬意を持たないのか理解できない。おとなしいからって、動物に配慮しない彼らは罰を受けたらいいのに。）（＊英語勉強中なので、英文に変なとこあったらごめんなさい😣 以下同。）
～ここまでは準備で何とかなるんだけど、ここからがぶっつけ。上みたいな意見は準備なしでまだ言えません😚～

Q（先生から）: 今回の話、どう感じた？
A（私の回答）: I think I told how I feel at the first question... I feel sorry for the whale shark.（最初の質問でどう感じたかは答えたと思うんですけど・・。ジンベイザメに申し訳ないなって思います。）
T（先生から）：Yeah, I know. Also, I think you are disappointed with what the men did.（そうね。そして、男達の行動にがっかりしているよね。）
♪今日の質問③♪
Q（先生から）: あなたが権威ある立場なら、彼らに罰を与える？
A（私の回答）: Of course! I would impose a fine. Severe monetary penalty. Their act deserve a fine of half of their yearly salary.（もちろん！厳しい罰科します。お金で。年収の半分くらいの罰金にします。）
↑imposeが出てこんかったです。pose a fine? place a fine?って聞いてみたけど、何が聞きたいのかいまいち伝わらなかったみたい。辞書で調べたら、imposeが適切みたい。とっさに言葉が出てこんわ～。実際には権力持ってないから妄想だと過激な回答になっちゃいます😅。
メモ：ジンベイザメは集団行動しない。単独で動く。（ Whale shark doesn’t move in a group. It is a solitary creature.）
↑ほんまかどうかは不明。
しどろもどろさと、言葉がぱっと出てこないのはあいかわらず。
さっと出てくるボキャブラリー増やしたいもんです。
